GETTING THERE

The Coach House, Durhamhill, Kirkpatrick, Durham, Dumfries & Galloway, DG7 3HP

Located off the A75, Carlisle to Stranraer road, Kirkpatrick Durham stands between Dumfries (15 miles) and Castle Douglas (8 miles), about 1 hour from Carlisle. and is 2 hours driving distance from Glasgow and just over 2 hours driving distance from Edinburgh.

Turn Right if coming from Dumfries on A75 (left if coming from Castle Douglas) opposite the shop in Springholm (signposted 'Kirkpatrick Durham'). go into Kirkpatrick Durham and turn right at crossroads. After leaving the village, Durhamhill's drive is the first on the right, where the road veers left and there is a sign saying Coach House. Warning - do not follow satelite navigation instructions for last couple of miles as it is likely to lead you up a very bumpy track.

If you wish to come by public transport Dumfries is the closest train station. From there we can organise if possible a taxi share with others to take you to the retreat. By train from Glasgow 1 hour 45 minutes, from Edinburgh using bus & train 1 hour 46 minutes & it takes less then 4 hours by train from London Euston Station to Dumfries.

"I was looking forward to the yoga retreat with Amanda and John because I already knew them as great yoga teachers and lovely people, however, it's hard to know where to begin to describe what a fantastic time I had.  I'll start with the food because it was so delicious and plentiful that you felt you would never be able to eat again.. until the next delicious meal arrived!  The venue was stunning with comfortable rooms and plenty of space if you needed some personal time away from everyone, although the group at this weekend were great to hang out with. The yoga sessions were everything you would want... challenging, fun and a constant learning experience in a relaxed and safe environment.  You got to hang out with super friendly chickens, slightly stand offish Llamas and cute bunny rabbits to name but a few of the local wildlife. Most of all, what made the weekend was Amanda and John.  You could not fail to have a great experience with them.  Their hospitality is second to none, they are brilliant yoga teachers and just two very lovely people. Do not think about booking a yoga weekend with these guys, just do it!
